XMA goes deep into the African bush to share Christ with the Tonga people

XMA - Tonga

April and May have been very busy months at ACTS with plenty of trips currently on the road. One very exciting trip started mid-May and went to one of the most remote parts of Zimbabwe. A group of Americans through XMA (Extreme Mission Adventures) went to the villages in the Bumi Hills area, close to Lake Kariba on the Zambian border, to share the gospel with the unreached Tonga people. The team stayed in a rural village with Pastor White Kongobwe, a local missionary, and his family. With the help of a local translator, the group their time hiking long days from village to village sharing the gospel with anyone who wanted to hear, as well as having evening meetings when they showed the ‘Jesus film’ in Tongan. Many of the local people had never seen a movie before, or even heard of God. The Lord was truely at work that week as many Tongan people accepted Christ, people were baptised, and a church was planted. A follow up team will be going back to the area in July.
