KENYA – Travel announcement

To all those planning to travel with ACTS to Kenya over the next weeks and months:

As you are most probably aware, there has been a very serious and tragic incident in Nairobi which occurred over this last weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are very much with all those affected.

We wish to assure you that this incident, while extremely serious in nature, has not affected travel in Nairobi and around Kenya, and all forms of tourism continue as normal. Further, the cabinet minister for Tourism, Ms Phyllis Kandie, has made the following official announcement: “We wish to assure tourists that Kenya is peaceful and our security agencies are doing everything possible to ensure that every one is safe. Visitors are thus welcome to visit all our tourist facilities across the country which is operating normally. Tour operators and travel agents have confirmed that tourism activities continue uninterrupted. The government has also scaled up security in other social places across the country.” We feel this statement gives an accurate picture of the security situation here in Kenya.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions concerning this situation.
