A different way of doing business

This January saw the return of Cornerstone’s MBA program in South Africa. This tour is unique in its aims at seeing how successful businesses and individuals have grown their respective industries while staying grounded by Christian values and methods of business practice.

The group met with directors from a number of organisations such as Learn to Earn, a Christian ministry addressing unemployment and related social problems by providing education in life skills as well as addressing spiritual needs in townships across South Africa.

Other organisations visited were Media Village, AMWAY, Wandies, Kliptown Youth Program, Mopanya mall, Teboho trust, AMCHAM and BOSASA.

One of the trip highlights for the group was meeting with Mr Mopanya (see featured photo courtesy of Business Day) who started the Mopanya group in Johannesburg. Mopanya Mall in Soweto is a testament to Mr Mopanya’s drive and close association with his faith, and he has built his business on Christian ethical values and a passion to help those in need.

The tour was an action-packed schedule with a mixture of South Africa’s natural wonders, historical sites, educational talks, great South African food and of course an excellent safari to finish it off.
